 SEEING IS BELIEVING----DRAWING AS MEDITATION

Gather a like-minded group from church, your garden club, men's or women's groups and I'll come to you!

Adults and older teens           $25.00/person         to register call   330-461-2210

No prior talent or training is required. All drawing materials will be provided. This class is for anyone with an open mind and a willingness to let go of an old idea and replace it with a new one.

Drawing from direct observation ---not from memory or “imagination”---is a meditative practice that helps one to release judgments, to be quiet and still, to see more clearly and with deeper awareness. Drawing with full attention opens a window to the beauty and uniqueness of all things.

This is an experiential process for those who want to learn a new skill and amaze themselves with their hidden “talent”.  It is a fun, freeing, PRESSURE-FREE class!

 VISUAL JOURNALING WORKSHOP

Would your writing group like to try something fun combining art and the written word?

Adults and older teens    $25.00/person   for more information call 330-461-2210

Bring a favorite written piece about nature....poem, quote, essay, exerpt from a book, etc. and a blank sketchbook and pencil.  We will share the written pieces, brainstorm how to write some of our own, and draw from direct observation of nature.

Your Visual Journal will incorporate both words and sketches, using both sides of the brain to enhance observation skills and appreciation of the natural world.   Sketchbooks & pencils will be available for sale for those who don't bring their own. No prior writing or drawing skills or experience necessary! Bring a hat, camp stool or small blanket to sit on as we will be working outside at a local park, weather permitting.
